• What kind of boat will we be sailing on?

  You will be sailing aboard an all-new, state-of-the-art 57 ft yacht, equipped with modern technology for a safe and enjoyable experience.

• What kind of accommodation can I expect on board?

  The yacht has 5 twin/double bed cabins with en suite or shared facilities. Please note that spaces are tight, and you may share a bunk or double bed with a same-sex travel partner or fellow passenger. The Skipper CEO also shares the ship's quarters.

• Are there any health considerations I should be aware of?

  People sensitive to seasickness should come prepared. Consult your doctor for up-to-date medical travel information and inoculations. Bottled water is recommended on some remote islands. The boat does not have a constant power source for Sleep Apnea/CPAP machines; a battery pack is required. Refrigeration for medication is available but power supply cannot be guaranteed at all times.

• What is the physical rating for this trip?

  The physical rating is 3. You should be able to climb small steep ladders, walk over a wooden plank when boarding/disembarking, carry your own luggage, step on and off small boats (inflatable tenders), and comfortably move around the yacht while it is moving in waves or heeling.

• What is the maximum group size for this tour?

  The maximum group size is 10 travellers, with an average of 6.

• Who will be leading the group on this sailing trip?

  A fully licensed Skipper/CEO (Chief Experience Officer) will lead the group throughout your journey. They will be responsible for sailing, your safety, providing information on locations, suggesting activities and restaurants, and sharing their sailing knowledge.

• What meals are included in the trip?

  No meals are included as standard. However, a food kitty of approximately EUR 70 per person per week is collected for small food items on board to cover self-prepared breakfasts, lunches, and the occasional dinner. Most dinners are taken ashore at local restaurants.

• Is fresh water available for showers on board?

  Fresh water is very limited on board, so showers are restricted to one quick shower per person per day.

• What type of electrical outlets are available on the yacht?

  Power on board is 220V on European 2-pin sockets, but these are only operational while in port. It is recommended to bring an external battery pack for charging personal electronics.

• Is participation in daily boat tasks required?

  Yes, this is a self-catering trip, and everyone is expected to participate in cleaning up after themselves, washing dishes, emptying bins, and generally helping to keep the boat tidy.

• What currency is accepted in Greece and where can I exchange money?

  The EURO is the only currency accepted in Greece. You can exchange foreign currency and traveller's cheques at banks and money exchange kiosks in all cities.

• How much spending money should I budget for optional activities?

  It is recommended to allow up to €175 (approx. $200 USD) for optional activities. General spending money requirements will vary depending on individual habits for drinks, shopping, and tipping.

• Is tipping customary in Greece?

  Yes, tipping is customary. A standard rule is 10% of the bill for wait/hospitality staff, and €1 or €2 for other service providers. For the Skipper CEO, a minimum guideline of 10 EUR per person per day is suggested and appreciated.

• Is travel insurance required for this trip?

  Yes, travel insurance is compulsory. You must have medical coverage with a minimum of USD 200,000 for repatriation and emergency rescue. It is strongly recommended that the policy also covers personal liability, cancellation, curtailment, and loss of luggage and personal effects.

• What are the visa and entry requirements for Greece?

  All countries require a valid passport with a minimum of 6 months validity. You must check with your local embassy or consulate for the most up-to-date visa requirements based on your nationality. As of 2025, ETIAS travel authorisation will be introduced for visa-exempt nationals.

Water-based activities should be done with a guide, and swimming/snorkeling is at your own risk. Illegal drugs and exploitation of prostitutes are strictly prohibited, and may result in expulsion from the group.

  The trip includes a Naxos Wildlife and Conservation Awareness Experience, 7 nights aboard a sailing yacht with a fully licensed skipper, and use of snorkeling equipment.

  The main highlights include relaxing on white-sand beaches, swimming in brilliant turquoise waters, trying your hand at sailing (or relaxing on deck), wandering through whitewashed villages, and tasting traditional Greek food and wine.
